Coach Bivins has been involved with football in Davie County for several years. His coaching background began with the Davie County Youth Football Association where he coached the Cooleemee Redskins. Then, he became an assistant coach to Barry Whitlock at South Davie Middle School. In the fall of 2002, Bivins joined the War Eagle coaching staff where as been ever sense.

Coach Herndon has 17 years of baseball coaching experience. For two years, he coached at TW Andrews high school in High Point. For seven years, he wsa the head coach at SW Guilford, where he led them to the semi-finals in 1994 and won the state championship in 1997. In 1998, he coached at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC where he currently resides. In 1999, he came to Davie High School where he has been a staple ever since. Coach Herndon has also been the head coach of the East-West All-star game and has been a coach in the state games for four years. In addition to baseball, he has also coached football for 14 years. In 2007, Coach Herndon coached the varsity defensive line.
